The Italian authorities have given permission for the exhumations of the national hero Giuseppe Garibaldi in Caprera.
The exhumations came descendants of Garibaldi, wanting to make sure that the Tomb actually lie the ashes of their famous ancestor. They suggest that the tomb at Kaprere may be empty. The family supported the request by the Ministry of culture of Italy.
