In China, archaeologists have discovered the wreckage of the oldest crock-pot age 20 thousand years. This discovery pushes the date of invention of the pottery to 10 thousand years ago.
Ceramic fragments were found in the cave of spirits in Jiangxi province in southeastern China. American specialists who conducted the excavation believe it to be the wreckage of a pot of about 20 centimeters in height, and 15-25 cm in diameter. In this vessel, allegedly prepared the food or the drinks strong.
Previously it was thought that ceramic crockery appeared only with the development of agriculture, which is the cause of the sedentary lifestyle of tribes, Pavda. However, over the last decade were found samples of pottery which was produced before the inception of agriculture.
Cause of pottery could be the fact that 20 thousand years ago, the Earth's climate was quite severe, with a predominance of low temperatures, and clay pots made people to cook hot food.
