Disney President Rich Ross resigned April 20. According to RIA Novosti, citing Deadline.com, in his farewell message, Ross stated: "I have lost confidence in his ability to serve as President. So I took the difficult decision to abandon this post at Walt Disney Studios.
In 2010, the Studio loses serious sums had to write off: for the movies Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, 2010, The Sorcerers Apprentice, Mars Needs Moms, as well as the recently released thriller John Carter.
